Bees in the city

We first came across the London Honey Company whilst working on a BBC Breathing Places campaign to highlight the importance of bees. We thought it was incredible that such great tasting honey could be made in the heart of the city.

Then we met Steve Benbow, the visionary beekeeper behind London Honey. We loved Steve’s approach to creating a new type of urban business, using traditional know-how but with a completely contemporary outlook – but there was one vital ingredient missing – a strong and distinctive brand.

Brand identity

The London Honey story had many unique qualities. With honey produced from hives located on rooftops all across the capital, we had a wonderful opportunity to change people's view of the iconic London skyline and create a memorable logo and brand. And, with the addition of the City-worker bee to our visual identity, things soon started buzzing...

Packaging

With a bumper crop and a selection of honeys becoming available, Red Stone were asked to look at creating a range of distinctive packaging.

Website

After originally creating a site for the launch of the brand, we recently carried out a root and branch change. The site is now fully responsive, uses retina-ready images and has a shop built on the Big Cartel platform.

Brand sting

When we originally built the website for the London Honey Company, we suggested a short brand film to encapsulate the brand idea. It’s proved really popular and we’ve been commissioned to make several brand films since.

The new identity totally changes the business – and now we’re going from strength to strength.
